Terry Deitz was the ultimate one-man army. A former Navy fighter pilot turned commercial airline captain, he spent Panama stranded against a numbers disadvantage and simply refused to lose — winning five individual immunities in a row and becoming the first player ever to find a Hidden Immunity Idol on Exile Island. His immunity run was so dominant he never even had to play it.
His reign ran out one challenge short: he lost the final immunity and was voted out in third, the idol expiring in his pocket. A second chance in Cambodia ended in heartbreak when he left the game on Day 13 after learning his teenage son needed emergency heart surgery.
