Jeff Varner was one of Survivor's great talkers, a charismatic schemer first seen in The Australian Outback, where a deadlocked vote with Colby Donaldson sent him out tenth on a count of past votes. He came back for Cambodia as a self-aware narrator of the all-returnee season, but his Ta Keo faction fractured and he was voted out early, fourth.
His third season, Game Changers, ended in one of the show's most infamous moments: at Tribal Council he revealed that castmate Zeke Smith was transgender in a desperate strategic play. The tribe and host recoiled, Varner was sent home without a vote, and his three appearances — fifty days, no finale — are now remembered chiefly for that night and the public apology that followed.
