Sonja Christopher holds a piece of history no one can ever take from her: at the very first Tribal Council in Survivor history, hers was the first name Jeff Probst ever read. A cheerful presence on the original Tagi tribe, ukulele often in hand, she struggled in the early challenges.
After Tagi's first loss, the alliance-minded core decided the gentlest cut was its oldest member, and three days in Sonja became castaway zero — the first of hundreds to have a torch snuffed. She helped set the template for everything that followed: likability alone would never be enough to survive this game.
