Survivor: Survivor 45 · Season 45

Episode Guide

How Survivor: Survivor 45 unfolded, week by week.

  1. 1We Can Do Hard ThingsSep 27, 2023Eighteen new-era players hit the beach across three tribes, and Lulu draws the short straw from minute one, losing its flint and just about its will to function. The advantage hunts fire up across the island while Lulu spirals at camp. On that sinking tribe, Hannah Rose is overwhelmed early and makes the call to walk away from the game herself, gone before a single vote is even cast.
  2. 2Brought a Bazooka to a Tea PartyOct 4, 2023Lulu can't catch a break, dropping challenge after challenge while the other two tribes cruise. Down a member already and coming apart at camp, the tribe finally faces a real vote. Brandon Donlon, struggling in the challenges and short on bonds, is the easy first call, the season's first castaway actually voted out.
  3. 3No Man Left BehindOct 11, 2023Lulu lands at Tribal for the third straight time, a full-blown trainwreck of a tribe, and the handful of players left scramble to grab the wheel. Emily Flippen, abrasive and on the outs early, throws in with Kaleb to seize control of the wreckage. When the plan lands, Sabiyah Broderick is the one voted out as Lulu keeps imploding.
  4. 4Music to My EarsOct 18, 2023A tribe swap reshuffles the whole board, and the new-era advantage machinery, the Summit choices and the journeys, keeps everyone guessing. Sean Edwards had been sitting pretty as a Reba before the shuffle, but he suddenly finds himself short on numbers in his new tribe. He's blindsided and voted out as the swap claims its first big name.
  5. 5I Don't Want to Be the WormOct 25, 2023Post-swap, the new tribe lines harden and the Reba bloc looks to flex its numbers. Emily, still drifting between sides, becomes the swing vote everyone's chasing. She throws in with the Rebas, and that's the difference, sending Brando Meyer home in a tight one.
  6. 6I'm Not Batman, I'm the CanadianNov 1, 2023The merge arrives and immediately delivers one of the most jaw-dropping moments the new era has produced. Targeted hard, Kaleb Gebrewold plays his Shot in the Dark, the desperate one-in-six safety gamble nobody had ever actually pulled off, and draws SAFE, wiping out a record eleven votes against him. The whole plan detonates, and on the forced revote J. Maya is the one sent home instead, the wildest possible kickoff to the merge.
  7. 7The Thorn in My ThumbNov 8, 2023A split-Tribal double, and the merge's brand-new hero pays for his big moment. Kaleb, fresh off his Shot in the Dark legend, is suddenly the scariest name in the game, and the tribe wastes no time blindsiding him at the first Tribal to open the jury. At the second Tribal, Sifu Alsup gets caught on the wrong side of the numbers and is voted out too, the last boot before the jury fills out.
  8. 8Following a Dead Horse to WaterNov 15, 2023With the merge settled, the dominant Reba four start grinding their numbers against the outsiders. Jake takes a Shot in the Dark of his own this time, but his comes up empty. When the votes are read, Kellie Nalbandian is the one blindsided and sent to the jury, the Reba machine rolling right along.
  9. 9Sword of DamoclesNov 22, 2023The Reba four, Dee, Austin, Drew, and Julie, are quietly running the merged tribe, and the outsiders can't find a crack to pry open. Idols and advantages float around the edges, but the numbers simply won't move. Kendra McQuarrie ends up the next target and is voted out to the jury as Reba's grip only tightens.
  10. 10How Am I the Mobster?Nov 29, 2023Bruce Perreault, the lone returnee finally playing his real game after a Day-1 medical evac ended his last season, is holding a hidden idol and what he thinks is a solid read on the vote. Emily Flippen goes to work on him, spinning a fake Julie blindside to talk Bruce clean out of playing his idol. It works perfectly: the votes split onto Bruce, and he heads to the jury with the idol still in his pocket.
  11. 11This Game Rips Your Heart OutDec 6, 2023Emily Flippen has pulled off one of the great turnarounds of the season, from abrasive early target to a real strategic force, which is exactly what makes her too dangerous to keep. The alliance moves on her, and when Julie plays a hidden idol that voids almost every vote, just one legitimate vote is left standing, and it's enough. Emily is sent to the jury on the smallest vote ratio the game has ever produced, her redemption run ending a move too soon.
  12. 12The Ex-Girlfriend at the WeddingDec 13, 2023The Reba four has steamrolled the entire game, but four can't sit at the end together, and the cracks finally split open. Jake and Katurah spot their opening and pull Julie and Dee into a plan against the overconfident Drew Basile, who walks into Tribal with no clue it's coming. Only Austin votes alongside him, and Drew is blindsided out to the jury, the alliance that ran the season officially in pieces.
  13. 13Living the Survivor DreamFinaleDec 20, 2023Finale night, and the Final 5 vote spins into pure chaos. Jake holds an idol and lets Katurah in on a plan to take out Dee, but Katurah panics at the last second and swings her vote to Julie while Jake plays the idol to cover Katurah. The scramble sends Julie home instead, accidentally saving Dee's game. Dee Valladares then wins the final immunity, and at the final-four fire-making Jake beats Katurah for the last seat. At Final Tribal, Dee argues she ran the game right alongside Austin and made moves he never even knew about, and the jury rewards her 5-3-0 over Austin and Jake, crowning Dee the Sole Survivor.
