Nobody on Survivor 45 narrated his own game like Drew Basile. A loud, hyper-verbal college student locked in with Austin from the jump, the two of them the brains and the bravado of the Reba four that never saw a pre-merge Tribal and steamrolled the merge — Dee, Austin, Drew, Julie picking off the outsiders one at a time. Drew grabbed an individual immunity, talked a mile a minute about the board, and was sure the four would just keep rolling.
Trouble is, four can't sit at the end together, and Drew was the one strutting around like the read was obvious. With seven left, Jake and Katurah saw the opening and pulled Julie and Dee onto a plan against him, and Drew walked into Tribal with no clue it was coming. Only Austin voted with him; everyone else wrote Drew, and he went out sixth to the jury, the bloc that ran the whole season cracking apart the second his name came up. The smartest guy in the room, and he was the last to know the room had turned.
