  1. 1“Survivor Smacked Me in the Chops”Sep 19, 2012Eighteen players hit the Philippines in three tribes, Matsing, Tandang, and Kalabaw, each seeded with a returnee who'd been medically evacuated from an earlier season: Michael Skupin, Jonathan Penner, and Russell Swan. Matsing is a mess from the jump, and after dropping the opener they oblige Zane Knight, who'd strangely volunteered himself for the boot, voting him out 5-1.
  2. 2“Don't be Blinded by the Headlights”Sep 26, 2012Matsing simply cannot win, and the snakebit tribe is right back at Tribal. Roxy Morris, increasingly paranoid and stranded on the outs, is voted out 4-1.
  3. 3“This Isn't a 'We' Game”Oct 3, 2012Matsing's losing streak rolls on, and Angie Layton, the young woman whose flirty bond with Malcolm couldn't save her spot, is voted out 3-1 as the tribe keeps hemorrhaging members.
  4. 4“Create a Little Chaos”Oct 10, 2012Matsing hits rock bottom. Russell Swan, the returnee trying to captain a tribe that won't stop losing, clashes with Malcolm and Denise and is voted out 2-1, leaving just Malcolm Freberg and Denise Stapley as the last two of a doomed tribe.
  5. 5“Got My Swag Back”Oct 17, 2012Matsing is finally put out of its misery, dissolved entirely, with Malcolm and Denise split off and absorbed into the other two tribes. The night turns rough for Kalabaw, too: Dana Lambert, hit by a worsening stomach illness, decides she's too sick to go on and leaves the game, and the tribe also votes out Sarah Dawson.
  6. 6“Down and Dirty”Oct 24, 2012The reshuffled tribes settle in, and Kalabaw keeps struggling. Katie Hanson, a former pageant queen short on strategic footing, is voted out as the last boot before the merge.
  7. 7“Not the Only Actor on This Island”Oct 31, 2012The tribes merge into Dangrayne, and the old Tandang and Kalabaw lines set up a tense back-and-forth. RC Saint-Amour, already on the outs of her own Tandang alliance after a bitter falling-out with Abi-Maria, is the first casualty of the merge, voted out as the first member of the jury.
  8. 8“Dead Man Walking”Nov 7, 2012The two blocs trade blows in a string of razor-thin votes. Jeff Kent, the former Major League Baseball All-Star who'd kept his fame a secret all game, is targeted and voted out to the jury, his hidden identity revealed only after he's gone.
  9. 9“Little Miss Perfect”Nov 14, 2012The Tandang-versus-Kalabaw war grinds on, and Artis Silvester, one of the loyal Tandang bloc, falls in another close merge vote, sent to the jury as the numbers keep seesawing.
  10. 10“Whiners are Wieners”Nov 21, 2012The Tandang alliance finally cracks. After the vote deadlocks in a tie, the revote sends the bloc's quiet strategist Pete Yurkowski to the jury, and Malcolm, Denise, and their side seize control of the game.
  11. 11“Hell Hath Frozen Over”Nov 28, 2012Jonathan Penner, the wily veteran who'd been making move after move to stay alive, finally runs out of lives. The new majority decides the dangerous returnee is too risky to carry, and Penner is voted out to the jury.
  12. 12“Shot Into Smithereens”Dec 5, 2012Carter Williams, a quiet, likable track athlete riding along near the bottom, is voted out to the jury as the alliance trims the field heading into the endgame.
  13. 13“Gouge My Eyes Out”Dec 12, 2012Abi-Maria Gomes, the abrasive villain everyone loved to hate, had survived far longer than anyone wanted, kept around as an easy goat and shielded by idols and immunity along the way. With the end in sight, the others finally cut her loose, sending Abi to the jury.
  14. 14“Million Dollar Question”FinaleDec 16, 2012Finale night. Malcolm Freberg, the strong, beloved player who'd survived Matsing's collapse and ridden hidden idols deep into the game, finally falls, voted out in fourth. That leaves Denise Stapley, Lisa Whelchel, the Facts of Life star, and Michael Skupin, the Australian Outback returnee, at the end. At Final Tribal, the jury rewards Denise, who'd attended every single Tribal Council of the season and quietly steered the game from the middle, crowning her the Sole Survivor 6-1-1 over Lisa and Skupin.
