Joe was a strong, well-liked presence on Jalapao in Tocantins — the kind of physical asset every tribe wants, and a guy who'd built real bonds heading toward the merge. His game was trending in exactly the right direction.
It ended in the cruelest way the game offers. A worsening leg infection forced the medical team to pull him at tenth, taking the decision out of his hands entirely. One of the era's tough what-if exits: a player removed by his own body rather than by a vote.
