Tell a tribe you're holding not one but TWO hidden idols and you'd better be ready to flash a coconut at Tribal. Val Collins wasn't. The Foxboro cop landed on Coyopa in San Juan del Sur's Blood vs. Water season, husband Jeremy stranded across the divide on Hunahpu, and when Coyopa kept losing challenges she swung for the fences with a bluff: two idols, all hers, cross her at your own risk.
Nobody bought it. The brag did the opposite of what she wanted, painting her as exactly the unpredictable wild card the tribe wanted gone, and there was no idol to flash when her name kept coming up. Coyopa sent her out seventeenth while Jeremy could only watch from the other beach. Two episodes, one swing that whiffed — and the better twist is what came of it: that helpless watch lit a fire under Jeremy, who walked off the runaway winner the very next year.
