Nobody on Survivor 46 was happier to be out there than Soda Thompson. A superfan thrilled just to be playing the game she loved, she brought big, bubbly energy to Nami and never once hid how much she wanted it — which is exactly what made her own alliance twitchy. To them all that volume read like a vote they couldn't predict, and they filed it away.
It caught up with her on the season's double-boot night. The merged tribe split into two groups for two Tribals, and at the second one Venus Vafa lined up the blindside that caught Soda flat — no idol in her pocket, no read on it coming. She went out eleventh, the first juror, and even with her torch snuffed she was still grinning that she got to play at all.
