The story

Shawna Mitchell struggled badly with the Amazon's brutal conditions — hunger and exhaustion pushed her to the brink, and she hit a wall early, telling her tribe she wanted to go and asking them to vote her out if Jaburu lost immunity. Her allies refused to spend a vote on her: Deena decided this was the moment to take out the bigger problem, and the women sent JoAnna home instead, keeping a defeated Shawna in the game against her own wishes.

Then the tribe swap changed everything. With Alex Bell, Rob Cesternino, and Matthew von Ertfelda dropped onto Jaburu, Shawna came back to life — visibly drawn to Alex, and suddenly far less interested in leaving. That spark became her undoing. Deena saw Shawna's closeness with Alex as a crack in the women's alliance, and she and Rob moved to break the pair up before it could cost them.

So the player who had begged to be voted out a few days earlier got her wish at the worst possible time, blindsided in a 4-2 vote on Day 18 right before the merge. She finished eleventh as the last of the original Jaburu women.
