Gota was a Fans tribe at war with itself, and Shamar Thomas was dead center of it — the loud, abrasive Army vet feuding openly with Reynold and Eddie's 'cool kids' clique while the tribe kept losing. He was a camp headache the others were already itching to be rid of, and the only real question was whether a vote would beat the medical team to him.
It didn't. Shamar scratched his cornea, the eye got worse, and medical pulled him from the game before Gota ever got its shot, sending him out seventeenth without a single vote cast against him. The recaps don't sugarcoat it — his exit spared the tribe a constant headache, which is about the most damning send-off a player can get. He never reached a Tribal that mattered, but for four episodes nobody on Gota was louder.
