Paschal English, a soft-spoken Georgia judge, formed one of Survivor's gentlest bonds — a father-daughter-like duo with Neleh Dennis. He played a clean, universally liked game and reached the final four without a single vote ever cast against him.
Then came one of the cruelest exits in the show's history: a deadlocked final-four vote went to a purple-rock draw, and Paschal pulled the odd rock. Eliminated by pure chance, his ouster prompted Jeff Probst to call the rule a mistake — and the format was later changed.
