Vanuatu split the camp straight down the gender line — men on Lopevi, women on Yasur — and then the Day-11 switch did the cruelest thing it could do to a Lopevi guy: it stranded John Kenney on a women-heavy tribe with no idol to dig for. This was a pre-idol season, so there was no bailout in the sand. Just a man counting numbers that didn't add up and scrambling anyway.
He scrambled hard and it went nowhere. With the merge one Tribal away, his new tribe sent him home 5-1, and the men staggered toward Alinta down a body they couldn't spare — the lopsided count that nearly handed the whole season to the women before Chris Daugherty cracked it open. Kenney went out eleventh, one switch on the wrong side of making it interesting.
