J. Maya did the hard part — she dug up a hidden idol on Reba while half the cast was still fumbling through the new-era advantage hunts. Then the merge handed her the cursed seat in the building.
Kaleb was the target, the whole tribe was dumping votes on him, and he answered by pulling out his Shot in the Dark and drawing SAFE — wiping out a record eleven votes in one of the wildest moments the new era's ever produced. Great for Kaleb. The catch: somebody still had to go on the forced revote, and that somebody was J. Maya, idol still in her bag, sent home thirteenth for the crime of standing next to a one-in-six miracle. Brutal way to go, and about as blameless an exit as the new era's served up — she didn't get out-played so much as out-lucked.
