The whole vote hinged on Emily Flippen, and Emily wasn't Brando Meyer's to win. The swap had dumped him onto Belo with the Reba bloc holding the numbers and Emily drifting loose between sides — the one swing everybody was chasing. When she threw in with the Rebas, that was it. Brando went home fourteenth in a tight one, three votes with his name on them and not a thing he could do about it.
And the timing is the cruelest part: he was the last body cut before the merge, snuffed one round before Kaleb Gebrewold pulled his Shot in the Dark, drew SAFE, and wiped out eleven votes to make that Tribal instant new-era legend. Brando never cast a vote at the individual game — one tribal, one wrong guess, gone. He's the guy the Rebas tidied up before the merge math reset, and if you don't remember he was on Survivor 45, you're not alone.
