Mike Zahalsky, a South Florida urologist who happily cast himself as the season's comic relief, was an outsider among the Healers who proved sharper than he let on. He leaned into the goofy-dad energy and the self-deprecating jokes about his day job, and described himself as "the cool kid the nerds like to hang out with" while his wife pegged him as the nerd the cool kids tolerate. He came on the show, by his own telling, to show his kids they have to work their butts off for everything in life.
Under the bit was a fan who'd watched every season, and it showed when it counted. Mike found a hidden idol and burned it at the final ten — voiding the two stray votes thrown his way while the majority sent Cole home seven-strong, more a panned, unnecessary play than a clutch save.
He hung on as a bottom-of-the-coalition vote until the final five, when Ben Driebergen played the last of his three straight idols, forced a revote, and sent Mike out 2-1 as the seventh juror.
