Kelly Shinn — "Purple Kelly," for the streak of color in her hair — was a nursing student on Nicaragua who became, against her will, part of one of the show's most infamous moments. Barely featured for most of the season, she and NaOnka Mixon stunned the game by quitting together within days of the merge, walking away from their torches just as the individual phase and its jackpot arrived.
Probst made his disappointment plain at that Tribal, and the double quit became a lasting black mark for both players. A reluctant footnote who is remembered far more for how she left than anything she did in the game.
