Evvie Jagoda came to Survivor 41 to solve the game like one of the systems she studies as a Harvard evolutionary biologist, and on the snakebit Yase tribe — the one that could not stop losing before the merge — she did the hard part: surviving loss after loss and walking into the Viakana merge with real bonds and a plan to make a move of their own.
That plan never got the chance to land. Read as the smartest player left still scheming, Evvie got blindsided in a tight 3-2 vote as the third juror, gone in ninth the moment the merge let everyone see how dangerous they were. The bigger story, though, played out off the beach: Evvie came out as non-binary between filming and airing, became the show's first openly non-binary player, and turned a snakebit pre-merge run into a fan-favorite one.
