Win immunity, sit pretty, do it again. After the Hina days, Sophie Segreti hit the Lewatu merge and turned the necklace into a security blanket, racking up two individual wins and making the rest of the eleven sweat every challenge she stepped into. You don't vote out the person holding the thing that keeps her safe, so for a stretch of Survivor 49, nobody could.
The catch with a challenge beast is that the room only needs you to slip once. The night Sophie didn't have the necklace, the field was down to seven and the read was dead simple: she'd played a steady, solid game, but she could absolutely win her way to the end, and present danger beat future jury risk. No flip, no scramble, no idol to burn, just the whole group landing on the obvious name, and Sophie went out seventh on a 6-1, near-unanimous vote as the fifth juror. They never got a clean shot at her until the one Tribal her hands couldn't save her.
