Koror lost exactly one immunity all of Palau, which meant Gregg Carey barely saw Tribal Council before the merge — he just kept winning, ate well, and quietly slid into the season's showmance with Jenn Lyon. By the time Ulong had eaten itself alive, Gregg was sitting pretty inside the most dominant tribe the show had ever run.
Then the alliance came for its own. The finale opened with the Koror majority snuffing Stephenie, and right after, Tom and Ian looked across the table at the strong half of the power couple and decided he had to go before he could move first. Gregg never saw it — a yacht reward with Jenn and Katie one week, blindsided 4-2 the next. He played a clean all-around game; he just never grabbed the wheel from Tom's group, and Tom drove him out in sixth.
