The longest Tribal Council in Survivor history ground through four straight ties — a record — until the math collapsed to one eligible voter, and that voter was Cedrek McFadden. The whole chaotic Vula night sat in his hands, and instead of just casting the deciding vote he played broker: he'd send Justin Pioppi home, but only if Sai Hughley and Mary Zheng agreed to bury their feud for good. He got the marathon to end on his terms.
His own number came up at the merge. Probst split the twelve into two teams of six, both voting the same night, and Cedrek's group landed on him 5-1. The only thing that saved him from a flight home was the twist's fine print — his team had won, so the player they cut went to the jury instead. Voted out eleventh, the guy who finally broke that record Tribal got to watch the rest of Vula's run as first juror.
